UPDATE: GOING FORWARD DONATIONS FOR PAINTINGS ADDED IN THE AUCTION WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR VARIOUS OTHER CHARITIES, INCLUDING EARTHQUAKE RELIEF IN TURKIYE AND SYRIA, UNRWA GAZA 5K FUNDRAISERS, AMERICAN FOUNDATION FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION, ETC. (Some painting descriptions will specify which ones are still preferred for Pakistan)

In the summer and fall of 2022, Pakistan confronted the most devastating natural disaster during its monsoon season, which caused great alarm around the world. The floods resulted with over 33 million displaced, more than 1700 killed, and thousands of acres of crops, homes, farmland, and infrastructure completely decimated. From the deteriorating political and socio-economic situation, to this tragic humanitarian crisis, Pakistan needs a lot of help.
I request your participation in this painting auction, in which the proceeds of the paintings will go directly to the charities of your choice for Pakistan Flood Relief efforts.

The charities are those recommended by the American Pakistan Foundation. You can learn more about the APF here: www.americanpakistan.org . You are also welcome to suggest other reputable local charities not on the list.

After rekindling my passion for painting as a hobby and completing many of the featured paintings during my doctorate studies on Pakistan, I felt a calling to dedicate the artwork for a particular cause. When the disaster struck in Pakistan, I knew instantly which cause it had to be. I found an opportunity to marry my passion for painting, and my sincere and genuine love for Pakistan, a country that has endured many blows since inception, yet continues to be resilient. So knowing that these paintings, which I consider to be a part of my journey, the yearning and fight to help build an understanding on Pakistan through scholarship, will be with people who care about the prosperity and future of this country, is truly consoling, humbling and honorable.
The success of this online auction to support Pakistan development efforts in 2023 will depend on whether you would be willing to share this post with your friends or colleagues. So I encourage you to please share it, if you find the message worthwhile!
